DOCUMENTED FOREIGN CURRENCIES

Official exchange rate with date and source

For non-euro invoices, the system retrieves the Banca d'Italia daily rate, retains the original currency and amount, and calculates EUR using commercial rounding.

01

How conversion works

The service requests the rate for the invoice currency and date. The official convention expresses foreign currency units per euro, so the original amount is divided by the rate.

  • Decimal calculations with ROUND_HALF_UP;
  • the original amount remains visible;
  • consistency validation before XML generation.
02

Weekends and holidays

When no rate exists for the requested date, the preceding available official business day is used. Both requested and effective dates are retained.

03

Tax review is still required

Published rates are indicative. The user must verify that the date and conversion rule are appropriate for the specific tax case.
